| i was wondering what calf rope and piggin string do you use, i would like to get into tie down roping and i was wondering what calf rope and piggin string do you use. |

| Hey buddy, That is great to hear! I use the Bad Ass Grass Rope from Direct Loop. You can get there website off of mine. In the string category I have been using Webb Ropes piggin strings out of Molalla Oregon.

| what kind of of equipment do you use, i would really like to get in tie down roping but i dont know the equipment, is your piggin string and calf rope xs,s,m, or hard, also how long is the calf rope |

| In the calf rope I use a 60 poly grass and a mh piggin string.
I reccomend using a 60 grass or a 10.5 in a poly rope and on your string what ever you feel comfortable with. I would start with a medium and go from there.

| ok so im having trouble with setting me feet when my horse runs by any ideas what i can do in practice or any way in general to make that improve ....... and is it possible that when you get in the whole that you can get to far cause i know that sometimes when i catch them my shoulder rises and the horns are right in my face is that also a problem .. im have a really dry spot and cant pull my self out |

| Yeah you can get down in the hole too far. You want to try and get down on the back of the steer with your head in the middle of the horns and then catch the left horn before the steer hits your body. Then you want to just put weight on the steers head and place your feet to the left of the steer.
